Sacred Light

"It is not light our gaze lacks, it is our gaze that lacks light," wrote the philosopher Gustave Thibon. Finding, in darkness, the spark of hope that can revive joy: that is the intent of artist Younes Khourassani, born in 1976 in Casablanca, who invites viewers into an immersive work of introspection carried by hypnotic, luminous pieces.

A graduate of the Casablanca School of Fine Arts, Younes Khourassani makes a radical creative shift with this exhibition, shaken by what the global health crisis revealed about our world. "Lumière Sacrée" was presented at La Galerie 38 from December 8, 2022 to January 9, 2023.

An invitation to shift perspective on the events that surround us, an exhortation to choose life and always favor light.
